Ripple has added a 24/7 Returns capability and an AI orchestration layer to Ripple Treasury, its corporate treasury management platform, the company said in a release dated New York, 26 October 2026, unveiling the update at its Swell 2026 event. 24/7 Returns lets eligible corporate customers earn returns on qualifying digital assets held in a Ripple wallet, including Ripple USD (RLUSD), Ripple's US dollar-backed stablecoin, subject to meeting program requirements.
Ripple pitches the feature at operating cash that would otherwise sit idle overnight, over weekends and during holidays. It did not publish rates, the source of the returns, eligibility criteria or program terms.
What Ripple announced
The new Ripple Treasury experience centres on an orchestration layer that works with GSmart, Ripple Treasury's treasury-native AI, to coordinate and automate cash positioning, forecasting, reconciliation, liquidity management and payments. Customers can choose between fiat and digital rails. On its product page, Ripple says each workflow can run manually, semi-autonomously or fully autonomously, and that customers do not have to use digital assets.
The release names American Airlines, Trax, Christian Louboutin, Subway, Adecco and Kingfisher among the global businesses the capabilities are designed for. It quotes Trax CEO Blake Tablak as a partner; it does not say which of the others use 24/7 Returns.
"As AI accelerates decision-making and digital rails enable money to move around the clock, businesses need systems that can keep pace," said Renaat Ver Eecke, Senior Vice President of Ripple Treasury.
The case Ripple makes
Ripple cites the 2026 AFP Liquidity Survey: 46% of organisations increased their US cash balances over the past year, and 86% of treasury professionals said their organisations would choose real-time money market funds if they met their investment policies. Those are AFP's survey figures as quoted by Ripple.
Why it matters
Ripple Treasury gives Ripple a direct route into corporate finance teams rather than only into banks and payment firms; Ripple describes it as serving more than 1,000 customers across 160 countries. Pairing a treasury system with yield on idle stablecoin balances goes straight at the gap between money that can move 24/7 and cash management that still runs on banking hours. The key open questions are the ones Ripple has not answered yet: where the returns come from, how they are paid, and which customers qualify.
