Merchant commerce platform Pine Labs and Stripe announced on 4 November 2026 a unified commerce offer for retailers in Singapore. Starting in November 2026, eligible merchants will be able to use Stripe for online payments and Pine Labs' payment terminals for in-store card payments through a single platform, with one consolidated view of transactions. The companies plan to expand the offer to other Southeast Asian markets in 2027.
The announcement came from Pine Labs. Neither company has published pricing, eligibility criteria or the number of merchants signed up.
What merchants get
According to Pine Labs, merchants on the combined offer will be able to:
- accept credit cards, QR codes and contactless payments on several types of Pine Labs terminal;
- offer multi-issuer instalment plans, pay-by-points and merchant-funded promotions;
- use Pine Labs' marketing tools for instant discounts and cross-border campaigns;
- reconcile online and in-store sales from one view.
Stripe supplies the online payments side. Pine Labs supplies the in-store terminals and what it calls commerce-enablement features, including instalment financing and loyalty-linked payments.
Why the split matters
Large retailers often run one provider for their website, another for stores and more for instalments and analytics. Pine Labs pitches the offer as a way to consolidate that, cutting reconciliation work and giving faster reporting. The commercial point is that each company fills the other's gap: Stripe gets a terminal fleet and in-store value-added services in Singapore, and Pine Labs gets an online acquiring partner for merchants that sell across both channels.
The instalment and points features are the distinctive part. They depend on Pine Labs' relationships with card issuers, which is why the offer is framed as more than a payments integration. How many Singapore issuers take part has not been disclosed.
B Amrish Rau, Pine Labs' chief executive, said retailers "expect a connected view of payments, customer engagement and business performance across every touchpoint."
What comes next
Pine Labs and Stripe said they will show the solution at Singapore Fintech Festival 2026. Beyond Singapore, the only commitment is a planned expansion to other Southeast Asian markets in 2027, with no markets named.
