Mastercard and BVNK announced on October 15, 2026 the launch of the Mastercard Global Money Platform, combining Mastercard’s payments capabilities with BVNK’s stablecoin infrastructure through a single API. The companies said the release is the first major integration of Mastercard and BVNK capabilities since Mastercard’s acquisition of BVNK in August 2026. The platform is available now through BVNK.

Banks, fintechs and enterprises can embed multi-currency accounts that hold fiat and stablecoins side by side, real-time conversion between the two, stablecoin-linked cards, and local bank payouts through Mastercard Move, under their own brand. Customers can also use the stack to manage treasury, payments and settlement directly. The companies describe the offering as modular: customers can start with the capabilities they need and add more as they become available.

First integrators and account model

Nuvei and Marqeta will be among the first to integrate the platform, alongside Ontop, Bolt Group and Almond FinTech. At the centre of the product is a global money account in which fiat and stablecoins sit together, with conversion through one API, plus configurable rewards and related account features.

Mastercard Move reaches more than 17 billion endpoints, according to the release. Coverage for local-currency payouts from stablecoin balances into recipients’ bank accounts is expected to expand to more than 40 currencies across 200-plus countries and territories in 2027. Card issuing is available across 130-plus countries, with spend across Mastercard’s acceptance network.

What is live versus planned

The companies said the platform is a modular toolkit spanning send, receive, convert, store, spend and earn. Future support for agentic commerce and tokenized deposits is mentioned as part of that roadmap; those capabilities are not presented as live today.

“With Global Money Platform, we’re delivering on our promise to connect BVNK’s technology with the scale and trust of Mastercard,” said Chris Harmse, co-founder and chief business officer at BVNK.

Raj Dhamodharan, executive vice president, Blockchain and Digital Assets at Mastercard, framed the launch as bringing Mastercard’s payment infrastructure together with BVNK’s stablecoin capabilities “to move value across traditional and digital ecosystems.”

Commercial context

For payments firms that previously stitched together separate providers for accounts, conversion, cards and payouts, a single API reduces integration surface—provided the modules they need are already available through BVNK. Availability is explicitly through BVNK rather than as an unrestricted Mastercard-wide product, and 2027 currency and country figures remain forward-looking company expectations.
